Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye doesn’t have its own student residence on campus. However there are various housing options nearby.
Below is an overview of these options. They are all detailed in our ‘Accommodation Guide’, along with important information about what to consider before deciding on a place, guarantee, home insurance etc. You will receive this guide once you are accepted. We also post ads for homestays.
We advise exchange student to start house-hunting as soon as possible. Demand is high, especially in June and July once French high-school students have chosen their university and start looking for their accommodation.
Several private student residences are located nearby. They all offer furnished studios and/or shared apartments with bathroom and kitchenette, plus launderette and common spaces. Many French Sciences Po students also live there.
Some families, keen on multicultural exchanges, offer a room to a foreign student in their house, with access to a bathroom and kitchen, and sometimes access to the living room or the garden. Family members usually speak at least French and English. The rent is lower than in a student residence. It can be a great way to share the daily life of a local family and to practice French.
We gather the ads from these families and publish them on our online portal for international students.
You can also rent a studio or apartment, alone or with fellow students. Here are some reliable websites to find rentals.
