Health insurance
The health system and the public health insurance vary widely from country to country. It is free of charge and is valid for several months provided that you remain enrolled at your home institution for your study period in France. It allows anyone who is insured by a statutory social security scheme of an EEA country to obtain medical treatment in another member state for free or at a reduced cost.

However this is a basic cover for health expenses. Therefore you may want to complement it with a private health insurance before departure. Check if your own insurance, or your parents’, includes health expenses while studying overseas. Otherwise look for other comprehensive health insurances.
