The death of Mahsa Amini, following her violent arrest by the morality police of the Islamic Republic of Iran, sparked a movement of revolt in Iranian civil society.

In many universities, teachers and students have joined the movement, going on strike and taking to the streets their demands for women’s rights and civil liberties, summarized in the cry of revolt: “women, life, freedom!”.

Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye stands in total solidarity with the Iranian university community, and more broadly to Iranian civil society engaged in a courageous fight and confronted with violent repression.

The teachers of Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye would also like to express once again their solidarity with their colleague Fariba Adelkhah, director of research at Sciences Po Paris, detained for more than three years in Iran for unjust iniquitous reasons.
