Premises

Our campus was built in 1913 to accommodate a training centre for primary school teachers. At the time, primary school teachers were playing a key-role in imparting literary and arithmetic skills, and in promoting republican values in the remotest corners of France. This helps explain the impressive buildings and the beauty of the park.

Nowadays, the campus is still shared by Sciences Po Saint-Germain and INSPE, the modern-day training institution for primary school educators. The old three-storey buildings with stone patterns and Art Deco inspiration lend the campus its peaceful and people-friendly atmosphere.

Learning Centre

In the library, students and staff have access to a large catalogue of essays, reviews, and other documents on all the subjects in social science.

Should they not find here the document they need, they can also access the resources in the ten other libraries in the CY University network, or even in any university library in the Ile-de-France region. Borrowing is done online and the volume is brought directly to Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Restaurant

Right in the middle of the campus, the university restaurant is open Monday to Friday, for lunch time. It offers a 4-course warm meal for a very reasonable price (about 3.3 euros for students), as well as salads and sandwiches at the take-away counter.

The conviviality spaces are the place to meet, relax, warm up  one’s own lunch in a microwave oven, or buy hot and warm drinks or snacks at one of the vending machines. And when the weather is fair, students and staff often choose to enjoy their lunch on the campus grounds.
