The city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye

Only 30 minutes from Paris by train, the city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye is well-known for its historic town center and its castle, a royal residence for many centuries and now the national archeology museum.

Saint-Germain is a lively town, full of restaurants and shops. On the cultural front, students have easy access to the public media library, theater and museums.

The city is also at the edge of a national forest, a great place to relax and get outdoor exercise. There is also a municipal Olympic-size pool or and many local sports clubs to choose from (e.g. tennis, swimming, field hockey, soccer, hiking or volleyball… even pétanque).

Saint-Germain-en-Laye has a long tradition of attracting internationals. Many families from all over the world settle here, interested in the proximity to corporate headquarters in the Paris area as well as the excellent local schools, including the well-known Lycée International of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

International students are quick to appreciate an environment ideal for quiet study, enjoyment, physical exercise and cultural enrichment.
